Lakshmi Rai came to Malayalam as Daya Sreenivas in film Rock N Roll, directed by Ranjith. She also appeared in Annan Thampi, Parunthu and 2 Harihar Nagar. She had various roles in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films before coming to Malayalam.
